Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization has served as the co-organizer of the CIBM 2015 to be held in Beijing. In this conference, biological topics, national biometrology standard, certification and monitoring will be discussed with an aim to promote biotechnology development in Mainland China.

The Smart Cities Conference, the 2nd highlight of the APAC Innovation Summit 2015 Series, will take place in Science Park in September. Following the success of the last event in Robotics of the series, this flagship event of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation continues its commitment to promote innovation and technology and aims to connect all stakeholders, facilitate collaboration and catalyse new ideas and opportunities. The Smart Cities Conference will feature a number of inspiring keynote speakers and influential smart city thinkers and doers from both local and overseas to exchange their latest insights on smart cities development, smart transportation system, green and smart buildings, energy management and low impact development. The event will also showcase a mini-exhibition of the latest innovations and technology from research community and industry.

Biotech China 2015 - China (Nanjing) International Biotech Conference & Exhibition is organized and managed by Nanjing Sungoal exhibition Co., Ltd, sponsored by China Quality Association for Pharmaceuticals and China Health Industry Alliance.

Prof. Albert Yu, Chairman of Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization, been invited to serve as a speaker in the seminar, and had the opportunities to share the niche of Hong Kong being a biotechnology hub with abundant investment opportunities in a Business Seminar in San Diego.

The event had around 200 senior business executives and successfully highlighted the close ties between Hong Kong, Zhongshan and the US. It created the opportunities to introduce Hong Kong Biotech Sector to the US company.

The Medical Device Seminar co- organized by Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization (HKBIO) and British Standards Institution; and sponsored by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP). It is a full day seminar. the seminar aim to promote the Medical Device industry within the Biotechnology Sector.

Over 90 representatives from the industry and academia have attended the seminar. The seminar had provided a training to the participants in the follow aspects:

  • Introduction to Medical device CE marking
  • Last update to EU regulation of Medical device (MDR and IVDR)
  • Assessment of technical documentation including risk assessment and clinical evidence
