March 23-24, 2015

As a supporting organization for HKSTP’s Soft-Landing Program Series, HKBIO was invited for a networking meeting on March 23, 2015 at its office at Hong Kong Science Park. The purpose was to provide a platform for the overseas researchers to explore the market and collaboration with local industry and universities. Moreover, a seminar: From Lab to Business: International Biomedical Networking Seminar was held at HKPC Building, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong on March 24, 2015. The seminar featured in-depth presentations on the latest medical devices and medical-technology innovations from around the world. Topics covered world trends and solutions to tackle medical challenges, with ample opportunities to discuss collaboration possibilities with international innovations. After the morning seminar, a networking lunch was also arranged for the panel with the overseas expertise.

March 9-14, 2015

Representing HKBIO, Prof Albert Yu (Chairman of HKBIO) was invited by HKTDC to attend 10th Hong Kong – France Business Partnership Plenary Meeting in Paris, France on March 14, 2015. Collaboration between Hong Kong and French companies in innovation and technology, as well as sustainable development was the area of focus for discussions. For the side mission in Bordeaux, members were arranged to visit a water treatment plant, an optics and lasers cluster, an integrated technology solutions company and a 3D tech company due to the fact that Bordeaux is also known for its excellence in advanced and environmental technologies, beside wines.

Representing HKBIO, Prof Albert Yu (Chairman of HKBIO) was invited by HKTDC to attend and present a speech titled “Hong Kong’s Strength towards Opportunities in China” at World Medical Forum (organized by The Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kansai Ministry of Economic, Trade and Industry) and “Think Global, Think Hong Kong” Luncheon Seminar (organized by HKTDC) during Medical Japan in Osaka, Japan. Medical Japan was Japan's 1st medical comprehensive trade fair covering all the products, services, technologies for healthcare, clinical testing, diagnostics and medicine. Medical Japan was organized by supported by Union of Kansai Governments and held at INTEX Osaka, Japan. 660 exhibitors and 27,000+ professionals gathered under one roof to discuss introduction of products and technologies.
